Alex studied architecture at the New York Institute of Technology and has been working within the architectural field for more than 30 years. Alex became a licensed architect in 1990 and in 1993 founded ADL III Architecture, P.C. which has designed and built a variety of projects both in the U.S. and Canada ranging from single-family residences, art galleries, office buildings and retail spaces, to civic buildings, historic restorations, multi-family communities and new urban town plans. The firm’s most numerous and well-recognized projects concentrated primarily on high-end custom homes and Main Street mixed-use buildings.
The size, scope and style of the firm’s architectural projects vary widely but are consistently recognized for allegiance to what Alex considers “the four pillars of an ADL III project”: form, function, process and product. Although he attributes his drive and success to client service, good work ethics and broad experience, the firm’s built projects have been acclaimed for their seamless fusion of the client’s design aspirations and functional requirements with local design traditions and historic architectural elements. He is most pleased with a project when it mutually reflects his client’s vision for the use and appearance of the space and simultaneously promotes both the client’s and the communities’ collective vision for their future.
